Inspired by drunken degenerate John Hornor Jacobs (Southern Gods) and my pal Peter Farris (The forthcoming Last Call For The Living) I decided to share a few pics of where I do the bulk of my writing. (Plus, I actually had a day to do nothing but organize my office, so it looks fairly well organized in these pictures)
As a quick warning, I’m messy. I love piles of books and paper, so you’re just going to have deal with the general chaos of my crib

Here’s where the bulk of the action takes place. This is the downstairs office. My wife primarily uses the upstairs office, except when I’m using the desktop camera for Skype interviews and video conferences and what not. I primarily use the iPad with a wireless keyboard these days to do the bulk of my writing, but I still have to use a Windows laptop for certain things.

I love super hero action figures. LOVE THEM!!!

Yep, books, I’ve got shit loads of them. The bulk of them are now all unpacked, but I still have a pretty hefty box of them lurking in one of our closets.

This big old battle ax of a Royal is my first typewriter. I’ve had it since I was 12 and it’s traveled all over the U.S. with me and I’m fairly certain I’m going to be buried with it when life has tapped my reset button.
Anyway, that’s the office. BTW, make sure to check out Jacobs creative digs right HERE and Peter Farris’ right HERE. And maybe think about sharing where you do the bulk of your work?
