18,000
I’m at 18,000 very sloppy words in my new novella project for Abattoir Press (Redrum Horror’s weird-o second cousin of an imprint.) Rerum/Abattoir guru, Ed Kurtz, wanted between 20,000-to-25,000 words and this should by no means be an issue to reach this count. Hopefully I’ll add at least 1000 words more on my lunch hour today.
Still haven’t come up with a title for it,...
Just A Little Nuts

Where the magic happens!
Inspired by drunken degenerate John Hornor Jacobs (Southern Gods) and my pal Peter Farris (The forthcoming Last Call For The Living) I decided to share a few pics of where I do the bulk of my writing. Soon afterward he left the park and the next morning he was on his way to...

Johnny Shaw Likes Me
Johnny Shaw (Author of Dove Season) did a quick review of my short story, An Appointment with Larry, from my collection The Chaos We Know, over at:
HOW MANY SHORT STORIES CAN YOU READ IN ONE YEAR? CAN YOU READ A STORY A DAY FOR ONE YEAR?
By the way, I’ll be having my very first book signing along with Johnny (and maybe John Rector, but we’ll see) on March 27th at the Poisoned...
Weird New Project
So I’ve started a new long project for Redrum Horror out of Austin, Texas. It’s a group thing featuring a character created by the publisher, Ed Kurtz. As a writer, I’ve always avoided this type of project (I’ve turned down three similar projects in the last year.) mostly because I like generating original material, but the character that Ed’s created is pretty...
